well its actually pretty simple as long as you have custom firmware.
1. Turn on your psp.
2. when its loaded into the XMB (which is the home screen of the psp) press select.
3.In the menu the pops up scroll down to the option where it says "USB DEVICE" press the right button on your d-pad to where it says "Flash 0"
4. Press select one more time to get out of the menu.
5.Connect you usb cord to your computer.
6.Go to USB connection if your psp doesn't automatically connect to your computer.
7. On your Pc find your psp and go to these folders.
x:vsh/module (x being the letter of the drive where you psp is at for my psp it usually is K)
8. in the module replace the opening_plugin.prx it must be named exactly like that. otherwise you'll mess up your psp.

You are taking these steps at your own risk
When I started to mess around with the bootsounds and stuff in flash0 I bricked my psp a couple times but since I had the pandora battery i had no problem getting my psp back in working order.
