I got this news from PSPGEN website. I can't fully understand the article because I'm just using google translate to translate french to english. So if someone out there speaks both french and english, correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand, HEN is running on PSPgo w/ 6.10.

---Quote---
While hoping to see the PSP go to run an HEN was distant with Freeplay, now the typhoon Team (ChickHEN) is back with a video showing the exploit in action.

The Team Typhoon was known for putting its online ChickHEN. Dave is probably best known for its members.

Today, our friends just upload a video that will please the purists as the feat is beautiful. Conversely, it will, without doubt, to grind their teeth who still hope to use their PSP to go underground because of Team Typhoon spells do not want this releaser HEN for 6.10 per various reasons not given here.

We let you watch this video:

This video is clear and shows a 6.10 Typhoon in action. This means that the Typhoon team managed to find a flaw User (easy) and a kernel (a feat now). So bravo to them for this new demonstration of the quality of the PSP hackers.

Note that this exploit should work, a priori, on all the PSP without exception and is usually not confined to the PSP go.
---End Quote---
I can't watch the video because my damn laptop is toooooo old! But if someone can confirm that HEN really runs on the GO, then I'll sell my 2001 to buy the GO.

Here's where I got this. (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pspgen.com%2Fhack-psp-go-6-10-preuve-image-hen-psp-go-6-10-actualite-190874.html)

Weltall is back with a quick CWCheat update (Its been a while!) This version has been rebuilt with toolchain and updated to included the latest cheat database. So you’ll find cheats for most of the new games present. It also has a new (beta) refresh functionality he wrote over a year ago! That’s now included too in this release.

Don’t know what CWCheat is? Well its a universal cheat system / plug-in that can apply certain cheats to almost every PSP game out there. Similar to GameShark codes etc. It also has many other extra features too.

CWCheat 2.3 Changelog:

- rebuilt with latest toolchain
- updated db to latest version in the site
- there is an cheat refresh hz functionality but i coded it one year ago so i’m unsure if it works and how it works right now
- consider this an untested beta

Sedna for CFW 5.03 GEN-A/B

Homebrew coder Zer01ne has released a useful plugin that is compatible with CFW 5.03 GEN-A and the recently released GEN-B. Sedna is a simple PRX plugin that allows you to stay in the custom firmware even if you accidentally shutdown or restarted your PSP without using ChickHEN.

Developer's note:
This plugin allow to:

    * Patch the Reboot of the PSP
    * Patch the Shutdown of the PSP
    * Hide UMD Update Icon
    * Patch flash 0, 1, 2, 3 USB acc?
    * Redirecting the file version.txt to ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/version.txt
    * Patch the blit TIFF image "blit corrupted data for file with extension .tiff"

Installation:

    * Copy the folder seplugins in the root of your Memory Stick and copy this line ms0:/seplugins/Sedna.prx 1 in the file X:sepluginsvsh.txt, X:sepluginsgame.txt

Known bugs:

Since there is a new firmware in town, "gen 5.50", will it be able to run this game completely, meaning missions, arcade, and all button modes? This is a two part question, answer both if possible. I think we're all tired of the goose chase for a working iso/cso. Is it possible to run "COMPLETELY" the game and how?

Hey guys! Homebrew Dev, clizana has released his amazing new app Goear PSP!

Now what is Goear PSP? When if first saw it, i thought it might have something to do with Hackable PSPs running some stuff thats only on the PSP Go!s lol.

Anyways, this app is actually a MP3 downloader! Yes thats right! You can download MP3 directly from your PSP and they will be put in your Music Folder! The songs are downloaded from goear - Listen to free music - Musica gratis (http://www.goear.com).

There are three languages; English, Spanish and another language which you can edit to make it into your language.

I have not tested out the app cause I sadly don't have WiFi yet in my house... :( Please donate to the "I need WiFi" charity fund founded by leo9891. LOL that was a joke... nvm :notrust:

Anyways, the controlls for the app are pretty simple, nothing too complicated.

*Controls:*
Triangle: Change Language
Circle: Enter the text for a new search
Square: Fast download*
Cross: Download* and select the filename
L1: Prev. Result page
R1: Next Result page
Select: Help

What does the "*" mean you may be asking. To be honest, IDK... It doesn't even say so in the ReadMe so I guess you will have to find out when you run the app. What I think it means is that download speeds may vary depending on your connection?

Alright, So i got the perfect idea I've got PSP cfw version 5.00 m33-6 equipped with PSPKVM v0.5.4 and Opera Mini v5 and I think that it may work to play Youtube videos straight off the Opera browseer if there were a "3gp plugin" for the psp to play 3gp videos because it starts to work when i get to m.youtube.com .Then when i click on a video it starts to load and displays something like"Error cannot play with out 3gp"

But i think it may work with a 3gp plugin either in the opera browser itself or the psp seplugins, Anyway just a thought for you coders out there and it'd be appreciated to try it too

Content Manager issues

I have a few questions, so sorry if this is in the wrong area. ><

I've been using PSP Content Manager v1.8 for a long time now and it's served me quite well. Exceeepppttt.... I supposed it was just that I had too many files in one folder for it to properly read them all or something. It was a folder of photos, jpg gif png whatnot, at about 600 of them. When I tried to load the folder in the manager it loads mostly, then says there was an error and it's going to close. I figured well I'd just stuffed it too full, expected too much of it and it poofed out, I understand. Even though I have another folder that's 582 of the same file types that loads just fine. Never paid it much heed except for now: a folder of a mere 300 some odd pictures is giving me this error.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Am I abnormal, is it my fault?

I've also tried Media Go... except how do I save the sorting of a folder once I've set it? I've set a few things by date or title, but once disconnecting and checking it again, it didn't seem to take. So is there some form of saving I need to do?
Also when I change from folder to folder within pictures, I like, set one to sort by 'date created' and another by 'title', but whatever i click to sort, it sorts all of them as whatever I last clicked. ;n;

And lastly: I have tons and tons of pictures on my PSP, almost all of them show up perfect good and fine. Every now and then, it chooses to not allow a pic or two. Tells me it's 'unsupported data'. It's the very same file type as a hundred pictures around it, what makes the trouble?

Thanks!

hi everyone,

i was just curious how an exploit worked.

well one how do they actually get found in the first place.
two how do they get a hello world running?
three what programming language are they usually written in?

and finally...
in the savegame exploits.
how do they "crack the savegame" to load a hen/hello world etc?
well my question here really is how do they make it load the exploit
WITHOUT corrupting the savegame
because when it gets modified from its previous state.
wouldnt it say corrupt in a sony ofw

[help] Animating text in lua

hello everyone

i was just wondering how i would go about adding text effects in lua, not serious big huge things, just little things like flashing text or text moving across the screen.

i would also like to know how to have something say "hello world" then it fade out and new text appears in its place, so basically i want to be able to have text appear, dissapear after say 3 seconds, and then new text appear permanently.

so basically.

making text appear/dissapear after a certain amount of time
make text move
make text flash

thank you

i have looked on google but cant seem to find anything so i decided to post here.

i made a hello world today and ran it, it worked fine.
so thought i might slowly start making better things and eventually homebrew

[UPDATE] PSP Installer 1.0

Hey guys, just a quick update :D

the change source option on the front screen has now been changed to....

"Download Latest Version"

Image: http://in.rsparrow.co.uk/screen4.png

this means that you can now download the latest version of PSPInstaller from within the application itself

After downloading and installing like any other app, it will state that the app needs to be restarted, if you press start, the app will automatically close down back to the XMB, when you relaunch it, it will show the app as being updated :D woop woop :D

also added version numbers to first page :)

Try it out with this download link :D

http://in.rsparrow.co.uk/pspinstallerv1.rar

EDIT: sorry, took link down for bug then put back on when fixed :D

Good Evening Guys, Spike_132000 here to bring you.... VERSION 1.0 OF PSPINSTALLER!!!!

Image: http://in.rsparrow.co.uk/screen3.png

This application basically allows you to download games, applications, theme's and save games automatically onto the PSP :D

Changes in V1.0 :D

+Added: Categories, now everything is split into 4 categories, Games, Applications, Theme's and Savegames :D
=Fixed: If you choose a blank option on the browse page, it will initiate your wlan but then tell you it's unable to download a blank application :)
=Unfixable: Deletion of Zip file's. There's a bug in PGELua that prevents zip files to be closed, so since there still classed as open and in use, they can't be deleted.
EDIT:
=Fixed: When updating database, current database version text changed to latest database version text when it should have stayed at current database version text... it's hard to explain.. anyway it's fixed :D

WE NEED YOUR GAMES,APPLICATIONS,THEME'S and SAVEGAMES!!!

Download : http://in.rsparrow.co.uk/pspinstallerv1.rar

Install : Delete previous version then Re-Copy to GAME5XX
