Well I don't know how to reply properly but here goes:

Age: 14
Sex: Male

I have been playing video games since 5 years old.

I play about an hour and a half each day playing video games.

I prefer to play violent games because they are more exciting. I hope Ratchet and clank, and Burnout count as violent.

I always play games at my house.

I have commited an act of violence: I beat up a kid at school for callin me a 'poo pushing pussy shit'. But I don't think video games played a major part in my quest for revenge.

I think games (no matter how violent they are) make people think. Obviously Manhunt for a 7 year old is down right silly, but playing Manhunt 2 has only made me crap my boxer shorts I becuase I just get scared easier. I think introducing certain types of games to different age groups would be a very interesting experiment to see if there was some type of effects violent games may have.

Ive been playing games since i was 3, violent games since i was 6


2. How many hours per day do you play video games?
Depending on the day, it could be anywhere from 10 minutes to 5 hours (some days i just feel like playing through a game like Quake)


3. Do you prefer to play violent video games more than non-violent video games? Why?
I like all video games, violent or not


4. Where do you play games most often? (Home, arcade, friend’s house..)
home and or arcade.

pacifist by nature. Ive never even got in a fight.

Video games are video games, their all for fun. Ive been playing games like doom and Mortal Kombat way before they even had M ratings. And ive never been influenced by them. Ive actually been more influenced by movies, since their clearly more realistic. Video games are just like movies as far as entertainment purposes go. But if i were to sit down and play GTA then watch something like Die Hard, or Saw id be more influenced by the thing with actual people. Either way, this whole violent video game hysteria is a load if you ask me. AS i said, ever see the Saw movies? Or Hostile? WAY worse than Manhunt will EVER be. Sadly though, wen you have the people Reagan kicked out of the loony bin still out on the streets fighting the game industry, i guess there will always be propaganda against it (JACK THOMPSON)
