[Release] ConsoleSpot Update Widget - Console Spot Forums

This is a widget that I made that displays updates from ConsoleSpot on the front screen of your iPod or iPhone. It downloads the three newest Twitter updates from the ConsoleSpot Twitter page. There may be a couple of bugs and I'll work to get those out later.

-How to Install-

Windows users can use an easy application called iPhone Browser to install this. Just click "WinterBoard Themes" under Go To at the top. Add the "ConsoleSpot Updates" folder in the Winterboard themes root.

Linux and OS X users will have to use OpenSSH and I'm not completly sure on how to do that.

Download is at the bottom.

Update 1: I added the BG from CSpot's Twitter page to the widget.

Cool idea, I use Newsfire for the RSS feeds but since I enabled the terminal trick for having dashboard widgets on the desktop it would be nice to have a more live update pop on the screen. I don't know if this falls under the grounds for that but it's a good idea anyway.

I'm assuming you're talking about OSX? Do you know if:

1. If there is any performance loss doing that? (Running OSX on a Dell Mini 9)
2. Can you run this on TOP of Wallsaver?

It's for iPod touch and iPhone.

OpenSSH on Linux is easy, Adding this soon. Probably do a little tweaking myself.

No, it's strictly for iDevices. Sorry. If there was a way to receive Twitter feeds, then use it.

Twitter feeds are kept in a .JSON file. Like ConsoleSpot's is this.

The whole widget is ran with HTML.

And of course there is a little Java Script.
