the package manager is the software which the stick uses to run. It is the application that runs on the ps3 allowing the user to manage the games and run them as well as back the up.

The dealers at the end are the fake dealers. There are also now clones which apparently claim to be the same however many websites have said that the X3 Jailbreak is a fake and not a clone so be careful.

Yes it has been confirmed that Sony will be able to detect users who use this online, this is as it uses the same game ID of LAUN-12345.

In the future though there may be a patch created for this! So fingers crossed

you will get banned from PSN if you have the dongle plugged in while you are connected to PSN, rule is to turn off your ps3, pull out the dongle, power up dongle, connect to psn.

Your USB? I thought the whole idea was to actually purchase the dongle...

OK sorry for all the stupid questions but after a lot of searching in Google i found out that the role of the dongle is to run your ps3 in almost debug mode, after which you use the file from the package manager which is the actually the backup manager. So without the special usb you cant do anything. Again sorry for all the stupid questions.

no the dongle allows you to run code via the application package manager. The dongle is like pandoras battery in a way it allows the user to exploit the PS3 system. In simple terms it gives the user Administrator powers to run exploited applications such as the package manager which will then allow the user to run back up games and rip games.

    UPDATE!

As some of you may have heard in recent news, certain Sony service manuals have been leaked from inside Sony.

I do have these files, however they are highly illegal. I am off out now however, later on tonight I will post some information regarding them in a new thread.

Got some images for the files:
