warning irshell patch for 5.50genb

hello everybody,
the irshell patch changes ur cfw 5.50 gen d2 to 5.50 gen b2
need help ! somebody needs to explain why? it is changed back
i really need irshell for putting files on my psp i have no access to a computer
if it isn't fixable can somebody put a warn on the frontpage!!!!!!

i'm desparate
if u have a reason why it changing back send me a email

After I installed GEN D I re-ran the 5.00 IRSHell patch. When I ran the Gen D2 updater there was no need to re-patch IRSHell. It works fine and I have mine running on D2 right now.

How about check IF it works FIRST.

Either way, your using a Patch NOT MEANT for GEN D2 that should be enough warning for anybody to do it at there own risk. Don't do stuff like that unless you have the tools to fix it.

dude i did this it just says that in system info
i check this buy checking flash0 files it's 5.50gend2
tried network update says i have latest version
tried running new games worked it just changes what your firmware says not what i rly is

There is a Patch specifically for GEN B2, and then there is the original 550 Firmware patch.

The 550 firmware patch wont change the System software from displaying D2, while the Patch for Gen B2 will.

is there a way to change it back without spoofing the firmware or downgrading it

I had that same problem too Even worse my games won't start after applied the patch. But fortunately I found a way to solve this. I just re-installed my cfw and then my system info is good as new, and my games started working again after this. Yay! I didn't need to downgrade my cfw or anything.
But my cfw is 5.50 gen-d3 final so i don't know if it will work on gen-d2.

I don't know why you people are having that problem. I'm on 5.50 GEN-D3(final), I applied the patch, and my system info still says 5.50 GEN-D3. but, my xmb slowed down(not too slow but it's noticeable), daedalusx64 increase graphical glitches(some grapshics turned black and pink, or purple or violet, i don't know. I'm not good with colors). I don't know with other emulators.
