i currently have a psp fat with firmware 5.00 m33-4
is gen-b getting better or should i stick with m33-4?

I'd say definately not 5.00, and not GENB. GEN-D is the newest one! Use GEN-D.

its all about 5.50 GEN-D now
or you can have 5.00 m33-6 but you need to backup your UMDs and patch them

n it allows u to play the newest games that require 5.55+

Congrats on your first post which is wrong.
It doesn't matter what 5.00 firmware you are on..you can still run the latest games.

Just pick a firmware and try it
