1.50 The Kernel is ready, but will never be available for download for several reasons:
The key: The key to cracking the 5.50 is within the Team and GEN did not want Spanish to use to update their firmware GEN clones (CFE + MHU).
Through this, they show us that without the firmware GEN, there would be no new firmware (CFE or MHU) and the Spanish are thieves prx since they are not able to find the decryption Clée themselves. The proof is by "pure coincidence" and the CFE firmware MHU were not always updated.
This article summarizes some reason, there will be no 1.50 kernel for 5.50 GEN
First of all, CFE is not a custom firmware and should not be considered as a GEN clone.
Secondly, didn't GEN copy some codes from DAX?
Third, think of the fact that if someone steals your codes, that only means you are too good that someone likes your work too much that they copy it.

I agree with you on some points. like they had to use M33 FW to get started on GEN, but if people copy their code and say its their code and they did all the work just for people to find out the lied about it would be really annoying to me... but I guess everyone has reasons for things. and doesnt the CFE make it so you can use GEN on a 3000? HEN is what you're talking about, and it's definitely not stolen from GEN. CFE is just a plugin. Maybe more like a compilation of plugins. It has the ability to take screenshots, play music anywhere(music.prx), load prx's from the xmb w/o going to the recovery menu, etc.... CFE needs GEN's firmwares(or any other firmware that it's compatible with like 5.00m33) coz it's just a plugin and not a firmware!

RNB, when PSPGen says "CFE", they are regarding Custom Firmware Enabler, not Custom Firmware Extender.
CFE, is CFWEnabler a.k.a MHU. Thats why they are saying its a "clone".
But even so, MHU came out before PSPGen's HEN CFW.
IDK why they are being greedy. When DAX was making his CFWs, he kept releasing 1.50 Kernel Add-Ons, and all PSPGen did was hex edit them to work on their CFWs.
They are just trying to monopolize the competition. They think that DAX needs their "work" to make a CFW but meanwhile its the other way around.
DAX already said that 6.XX wasn't worth making, he didn't say why, but i'm sure its the same reason as GEN's for not making a 6.XX CFW.
If that is so, then DAX already made one, and knew that it would be a hassle for people to update their Homebrews or plugins. So in reality, DAX has been ahead of PSPGen for a while now. For almost 6 months to be exact!
Now that i just trolled, it doesn't really matter if 1.50 Kernel Add-On is released, because every app/brew/plugin has been updated to work on 3.XX - 5.XX Kernels. Gen is just being gay.
PSP Hacking Guide - only for PSP-1000 (phat) and PSP-2000 (slim) v1 and v2
This guide is made assuming you have access to a psp with CFW, and you want to install the latest CFW. In this case [5.50 GEN-D3]
(((((read the notes bellow before start hacking)))))
You'll need the following things.
- PSP with CFW
- a memory stick 256 mb as minumum 4gb as maximum
- a Battery that can be pandorized (yes, original psp batteries can be pandorized)
- Ultra Pandora Installer (UPI) -----> Download
- Following OFW's 1.50, 5.00 and 5.50 ---> Download
- Despertar del Cementerio 8 (DC8) -----> Download
- 5.50 GEN-D3 ---> Download
Ok let's start.
1- Backup all your data (Savedata, games, ...)
2- Extract the ultra pandora installer file, and copy the UPI4C folder to the following route X:/PSP/GAME
3- Launch the application from your XMB (located under game section) and choose the option "format memory stick"
4- Now, enable USB and copy again the UPI4C folder to the same route, also copy the 1.50 eboot to the root. rename it to "150.PBP" (without quotes).
5- Launch the app again go to DDC menu and choose the first option
6- extract the DC8 file, copy DC8 folder to X:/PSP/GAME, and copy the 5.00 eboot to the root and rename it to "500.PBP"
7- launch DC8 on your XMB, at the end of the installation it'll ask you to choose a button to boot DC8, if not install it again.(i always choose L button)
8- Launch ultra pandora, go to "ipl menu" and choose "install msipl.bin"
9- Now go to Battery options and choose "make pandora battery"
10- Extract 5.50 GEN-D3 file. copy the UPDATE folder to the same route X:/PSP/GAME
11- Launch it from the XMB, then choose "install XGEN PANDORA"
12- now take out the memory stick and the battery, insert the memory stick in your psp, press and hold the button you choose to boot DC8 and insert the battery.
13- now go to nand operation, press backup nand. Always Backup your NAND
14- go back and install CFW 5.50 GEN-D3
15- once you have success its time to get your battery and your memory stick to normal.
16- launch ultra pandora go to battery options and choose "make normal battery" (check if its normal by taking it out and inserting it back, if the green light turns on by itself, you still have a pandora, if not then your battery its back to normal)
17- to normalize your memory stick you only have to format it from your psp menu.
*****Notes*****
- Make sure your Memory stick is original
- Make sure your battery can be pandorized
- Some steps are done assuming you don't have a Pandora battery, if you buy/have one then you can skip steps 4, 8, 9 and 16
- This can be done by another methods but this is the one i always use -
- This guide it's only for PSP-1000 (phat) and PSP-2000 (slim) Note ---> Some slim models are not hackable
- Extract the OFW 5.50 .rar, copy the 5.50 eboot to the root and rename it to 550.PBP
- Extract 5.50 GEN-D3 file. copy the UPDATE folder to the next route :Root/PSP/GAME
- Disconnect your psp, go to the Game section on your XMB, launch the update, then select
"Flash Install CFW 5.50 GEN-D3"
- Once it finish you can delete the update from your Memory Stick
********NOTES********
- This guide it's only for PSP-1000 (phat) and PSP-2000 (slim) with full CFW
- This guide its not made for PSP's with CFW lower than 4.01 M33.
- If your psp firmware its lower than 4.01 M33 update to 4.01 M33 or 5.00 m33
If you have been up to date with the news since ChickHEN came out, you will find that MHU did use some of GEN codes to create their CFWE(CFE as they put it). It was even said on one of MHUs releases saying they stopped using GEN codes. People need to stop saying "the return of DAX" blah blah blah. Every PSP Forum I go to someone just has to say it, you never know he may never return. Especially how the PSP scene is now, infested of haters and blamers. As Leo has said above a lot of the homebrew apps, games, and plug ins have been updated to be use with 3.xx firmware. But if you still want 1.50, I suggest you use Time Machine if you are on a Slim and use/get a PSP 1k and stick with M33 since they have the 1.50 Kernel add on. Why would you call GEN gay? They are the only ones whom are making CFW and keeping them updated so that we cam still enjoy Homebrew as well as the new games on our PSPs. We should feel more lucky, because if GEN stopped, who is going to make the CFW releases? Sorry if this sounds like a rant, didn`t mean it to sound that way.
I wish they'd just release the stuff they have developed recently. All this drama over who made what is stupid. Or reasons why they think people wouldn't want it. What everbody needs to do is release their stuff and stop arguing. It was like this with FreePlay's exploit too. DAX never did this. *Sigh*

oh.. yeah HEN is the homebrew enabler not CFE.. just remembered CFE=custom firmware extender... i had that for 3.71 m33 a while back... i feel stupid now
6.xx custom firmware will probably never see the light for many reasons...one big one is that it has a new kernel..just like in the old days firmware was based on 1.50 kernel...then came 3.00 now there is a newly rewritten 6.00 kernel. Just like there is a 1.50 kernel add on for 5.00m33, there would need to be a 1.50 and 3.xx kernel addon for 6.00 without it very few current home brew would work.
I'm so sorry about that. But still, from what I understand from it's name, Custom Firmware Enabler is used to enable a cutom firmware. That means without that, a custom firmware, like GEN's, will not run. Right? So the first sentence I written was right, that CFE is not a custom firmware and should NOT be considered as a GEN clone.
