i was just checking ebay for you, and you can get a brand new dvd drive for like $30 and free shipping! thats what i would do!

Oh right. I forgot. I was using arcade games because my DVD drive didn't work. xD
But still, if you just overheat it a bit and lie through your teeth they should replace it.


You can't just replace the drive. The DVD drive has to have a specific set of keys that are stored on the motherboard. It's all or nothing.

I think I'm going with that idea. I'm not good with opening my Xbox or tinkering the insides. So overheating and lying it is! Anymore suggestions?

The 360 that I currently have now was made in August 2007 and it had a new fan when they shipped it to me. Microsoft really needs to resolve this problem because pisses ppl like me off.

I'm really considering getting a slim PS3 only because they don't mess up as much and the failure rate is very low if any. But I still want my 360 so I'm gonna try and get a new 360 from MS. Thanks for the help guys.
