hello everyone! im new to ConsoleSpot.com. i choose to stay here and hope to learn more about my psp and to converse with everyone i meet.
ok. here's my problem. i have a psp with the System Version 5.51. and i wanted to download some themes. i have tried to do that but soon found out that i couldnt.
then i learned that i needed to download CFW and all this other stuff. i honestly dont know what that is at all. i tried to download but i didnt know what to do with the files.
and then i learned that downloads are not possible with certain kinds of psp versions.
so. . .if its possible, can someone help me? in the simplest steps possible. baby steps tobe exact. thanks!
If you have a fat psp (1000), you can use pandora's battery.
If you have a psp (2000) theirs a 50/50 chance you can hack it with pandora.
If you have a psp (3000) you are out of luck.
well not exactly you can use the chicken hen method but as far as i know its not as good as the method use for the other psp system but you can give it a trie of course by your own risk
If your PSP is a 1000/Phat, you can use either Upgraders, Pandora Battery + MMS, or ChickHEN to get on to CFW.
If your PSP is a 2000/Slim, you can use Pandora Battery for v1 & 2 MoBos, anything higher than a v2 you are going to have to use ChickHEN to get on to CFW.
If your PSP is a 3000/Brite, you can use ChickHEN to get on to CFW.
Note: ChickHEN can only work on 5.03 Official Firmware, no higher no lower.

Well to know if it's a phat or a slim it's pretty simple. If it's rather heavy and the back isn't flat (as in has curves on the sides to grip it) then you have a phat if it's lightweight and glossy then you either have a slim or a 3000. Know to know if it's a 3000 or not just check the buttons if you don't have a "home" button but have a button with the ps logo then it's a 3000, if not it's a slim.

i know i have a slim. lol. i have a home button.to the left, right next to the 2 volume buttons. but its all of the other replies that confuse me so much. like they tell me to find out what version it is and all that. very confusing.
