I can live without the GBA Slot, and if you think about it. It will be easily hackable with use of the SD Card Slot, and I don't know how to call "more features" a downgrade.
But why would you spend almost $180 on it when you could simply get a 10$-30$ flashcard? I wouldn't see the point, and also, I COULDN'T live without the GBA slot because I love my GBA library, even though of course modding it could in theory provide me with that over the wonder that is the intarbuttz, but still. I'd rather stick with an old school DS and easily mod it for a MUCH lower price.
It kind of reminds me of the iPods. Everyone flips because they look so nice and shiny, but when it comes down to it, it's nothing but a regular mp3 player thrown into a nice shiny case with some extra features no one really uses all that much. I've never, EVER seen anyone sit for two hours and stare down just so they can watch a movie on their iPod.
In my opinion it's all just a scam to get kids who's parents don't know enough about it's money.

Not to mention the DS has an app store, and I'm gonna say they r gonna put out an official emu for it. I'm gonna say when it does get hacked/modded that all you will have to have is a SD Card. We both have valid points so I say we should agree to disagree

This DSi looks amazing. it's obviously less glossy than the NDSL, which is an improvement for me, but it doesn't look like I'll switch to the DSi just yet...I have the R4DS for my DS, The DSi hasn't come out yet. I've read on wikipedia that you cannot use the flashcarts(R4DS) on the new DSi. BUT I think since the DSi has a feature of using a memory card, SOMEONE will eventually learn a way to hack it. I can tell you that..Just like a PSP
I'll probably get one on christmas. Any exclusive games for it?
There probably will be some considering the camera functionality. Although, the idea of using a camera to play games (especially something Nintendo based like Mario Party or Pokemon) makes me shudder.

Well that can depend on which type of chip you buy, where you buy it from, and what size Micro SD you get to use with it. Oh and it also depends on if you get a DS New or Used (Fat or Lite) But I do see where you are coming from because the DSi is expensive because of all the added features it's getting (Unlike Sony with the few updates they gave us with the 3000...lol)
