The new Nintendo DSi will have quite a few changes:
Quote:
* Larger 3.25 inch screen
* New DSi Menu
* DSi Shop
* DSi Music
* Two Cameras
* Picture Editing (Limited)
* Sharing With Other DSi Systems
* Audio Recorder And Editor
* SD Slot instead of GBA Slot
* DSi Browser (Opera Based)
All of that for only $170 + Tax, and just to make you a little bit happier they made it in two colors! Black and Powder Blue.

I've got to get me one these! Pokemon Platinum can wait, I'm getting this instead!

There's already a thread about this. (Unless this just happens to be a release date specific thread)
And also, it's a huge waste of money. Bad cameras, currently unhackable (except in Japan, maybe?), no GBA slot. It's pretty much a DOWNgrade. It's more useless than the PSP Bright, in my opinion. Why not just get an R4DS or something and a $30 digital camera?

That was posted a long time ago. This thread has more info on features, the new US trailer, and it is a release date thread.
I can live without the GBA Slot, and if you think about it. It will be easily hackable with use of the SD Card Slot, and I don't know how to call "more features" a downgrade.

By now the GBA slot is old Tech (to them) I know many that have multiple gameboy systems all of which have a GB/GBA slot. Honestly I do not expect much from this new sku of the DS. maybe when I actually see one in person I may change my mind.. but for now I can't see why I would want a DSI and lose my existing GBA library.
