Okay...so I'm old now....And I was trying to look for a Cartoon show back when I was 11 or 12....so I'm talking about 1998-2001. Now I don't know if any of you, but this might sound familiar but I'm looking for a show where there is this guy and this girl...I don't know how they got connected but there would be giant robots....I don't think it was G-Gundum though...this one robot had a sword....a giant (samurai like type...I think?...lol)....and when the guy would be in the robot he was sitting down in a chair.....And no it was not The Big O.....But the first episode was like the guy and girl met and then something happened and the guy went into his robot....and they were fighting in a colosseum...and the guy sliced the other robot with his sword....and it was on channel 5 Kids WB!.....But I'm not so sure..I know at the time there was channel 11 as well...But this was an anime..and channel 5 was airing anime.....IDK but do any of you peeps know what show that was?...Cause I remember the first time I saw it I was holding a stick and swung it around pretending I was that robot..lol...but i was a tight show..well at the time when I was young...and I'm trying to look for it...any ideas?
Oh and IDK but this was in south cali..well thats where I live..so if any of you remember durring that time.

Uhmm, I think you have successfully described every Giant Mecha anime series that has ever come out of Japan.
Back to your question, it could have been Gundam X since that happens in the first episode. Now, was the sword a beam sword, a metal sword? If it is a beam sword, then you are probably taking about something along the Gundam series (probably X or Turn A)
No it was not Gundum X...and I've searched links from Kids WB!...But it seems to not be there...it was from 1999-2001 between that time..the ones in those links show fater 2001...It had a metal sword though...not a bean....Cause in Gundum their stading up....and in this one you can see all the gears movng and the guy was sitting down...IDK its hard to find...I've been searching for this for qutie a while now....6 months:P

LOL....Okay..first of all...NON of them in this show went to space...NO SPACE...just earth....I guess its just to hard to find this old show...I wish I could remember the name...But I remember that it was taken off and replaced with G-Gundam.....thats all I remember, then pokemon got its fad...I think?...lol..Well..I guess no one will be able to find it...its almost been a decade since it was aired..I guess I'll just give it up..maybe oneday I'll com across it..I hope..such a good action show it was....But thanks to all who gave me there time to post and think about it...if anyone still has a clue..please post...but by anymeans of that....thanks to all
