No offense genobee but almost all your post that end with problem solved are usless to actualy solving the problem at hand. Im sure SiG has already thought of that but he want to back up his data not have to clean install and loose his personal data

Don't know what you problem is bud. I have a Simple Tech 250GB External HDD and I have transfered a file that was 15GB Before.

Could we possibly know the format of the drive? (NTFS, FAT32, FAT, etc.)

I have no idea bro, but somehow it just wont transfer big chunk of files like 4gbs....

I've transferred some Other Os which are like 2 gb's but that's far as i can transfer

and it's a fat32 WD passport

Well you just answered yourself, it is fat32. 4 gigs is as large as a file can be when formatted like that, format to ntfs to solve the problem.

I was making a obvious jab to his already obvious attempt as labeling pirated material as "back up". If people are allowed to derail a topic, engage in "back up" talks, insult, use swear words and generally poor English, when all of them are labeled against the rules and currently not punished, I think I'm entitled to employ poor sarcasm for my day's morsel of fun.

If You call buying a OS X Leopard CD is Pirated, and just backing up the files to my HDD, then I don't know what's wrong with you!! I also Support MAC, as I have bought a License myself, and am not worried about a thing, because I do own a Apple product, iPhone iPod Classic, and a Powerbook!

and I'm pretty sure there is nothing wrong about talking about "BACK UP" files here as long as you do not distribute outside links
