I use Cox Cable Internet Pro Subscription. I got a business server installed for my desktop computer, cost me a pretty penny.

Can someone say stupid? Not only one person, but the whole flock!
Sorry, but I laughed so hard, that's only how you measure the speed to your router/modem which takes in account the speed of your network card, and also the speed your router can send and receive data. Most times the only speed that could come close to that is the transfer speed from computer to computer connected to the same router or similar.

All of you need to go learn about file sizes, download and upload rates, internal IPs, external IPs, routers, modems, then maybe you can post sensibly about your download speeds.

Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test is a pretty accurate way of measuring download/upload speed of your current plan.

THEN AGAIN, LEARN WHAT THE RATES ARE (kb kB, mb mB), OR IT WILL BE OF NO LOGICAL HELP.

Lol eiffel thats not your internet speed, thats your local network speed, how fast you connect to your router. Any decent router and motherboard should support Gigabit ethernet. Use Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test to test your internet speed, it works well, make sure you choose the server closest to you to get a good reading.

Well I've update my internet speed to a Verizon FiOS
10mbps/2mbps

I went to Speakeasy - Speed Test

I got 15790kbps download speed
transfer rate is 1.6MB
Upload is 5720kbps

is that fast for download?
