Hey guys, I just wanted to ask some things about Windows 7.

Is it faster, better?

Do most old programs still work?

Just tell me what you think of Windows 7 comparred to Vista. I just wanna know if its worth it to upgrade.

I'm a little PC illiterate, so talk english to me lol.

BTW, these are some of my specs if they are needed.

Laptop
Vista OS
2GB DDR2 Ram
160 HDD
GeForce 7000M
x32Bit

its basically vista with all vistas added unnecessary programs out of the way (making it run faster)

its been said that the majority of programs work with it

and your ok to upgrade (based on the info you provided) if you want if you want to make sure your set to upgrade dl THIS

Compared to Vista, 7 is better
but XP will always own

It does actually run more older programs than vista, and even has an XP emulation mode.. so basically, running XP in a window in windows 7.. this is if your pc is good enough.. duo core should do

imo, if your on vista which you are, worth the upgrade
if on xp, then stick to it

uuhh what else.. your laptop specs seem alright
gfx seems a bit outdated.. but thatll do

Get it, it's great!
My PC specs.
Dual Core, 4GB RAM, 500HDD, 2,50GHz, 64-bit, G33/G31 Chipset.
I love it. Much faster than my loaded up Vista.

i have win7 and honestly, I have had no trouble with anything... everything that worked for me in xp works well now, it turns on MUCH faster, its very noticeable, plus the interface is very sleek... your hardware should run it alright, i recommend it

@Phanboi:Phanboi is a phanboi of xp, your only judging 7 by Micro$ofts previous mistakes. It's well worth the upgrade and most people say it's slow because nobodies upgraded their PC much because they didn't need to an Micro$oft set the minumin to low my sister's 7-year old PC can still run it. Windows 7 Ultimate is faster than Xp Home Edition. Even then 7 is "faster" because vista bonked up the standards. ALL IN ALL PHANBOI YOUR A BYIST CHEAPO!

You wouldn't need the Xp Emulation anyway if you've got hardware and software that's up to scratch.

Not to mention Xp emulation only comes in Pro & Ultimate edition of 7 and so if you got money to spend(like me) buy Ultimate or on a budget buy Pro it's well worth the investment.

i always liked vista more then xp but ive had windows 7 for quite a while and its much better then vista

eww veesta. Get W7, it is in fact faster. Plus it's better looking and better in overall. I've had one program that didn't work properly, but that was because the maker didn't bother to update it.

I'd update if I were you.

MiniNova sucks...Also, it in know way anything close to Vista.

You suck!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 judging mininova and W7 is vista just improved and had more time put in to it (remember moron vista was just an OS that microsoft rushed out)
