OK I just got me an ipod nano and I tried installing itunes but im unable to because quicktime won't install on my PC. Ive tried everything. And I've given up on fixing that problem. I googled and cant find and answer so maybe someone here can help.

I looking for free software that I can load my songs on my PC to my ipod with out having to use itunes. Anyone have any ideas?

Why wont quicktime install? Did you try removing everything? Like iTunes and Quicktime. Or what? Cause I've never heard of quicktime not being installed on any OS

You don't need QuickTime in order to use iTunes. I downloaded iTunes from the Apple website, and did it as a stand-alone installation cause I don't like QuickTime. My iTunes was working perfectly, so I don't see why you need QuickTime... unless you want it then ummmmmmmm idk what to tell you...

How did you do a stand-alone installation every time i try to install it it tries to install quicktime as well.

sorry to get off topic. but if u guys could help me. i still wanna use itunes but i lost all my playlists. the playlists are still on my ipod. is there any way to transfer the playlists back to my computer.

i found a program but it isnt free and i dont want to buy it. i have an ipod touch

I remember installing a Quicktime shell of sorts and it would allow itunes to work. No actual quicktime player or any of that crap there, but itunes did think it was there. This should be it.

Install that, then itunes. Don't get annoyed at me if it doesn't work because when I used it, it was a long time ago.
