    Default Resetting/Removing Bios Password ?

My friend's sister recently gave him a Toshiba tecra a1 laptop but it has a bios password. Is there a way to pass this? I've tried google for answers but didn't get any. Can anyone help with this?

Nope don't work. I read something about a dongler which could be made from an old printer port. I think i will try that, but must find and old printer cable first.

Did you try the Toshiba password "Toshiba"? That should work regardless, even if someone changed the normal password manually...

If the backdoor pass doesn't work, then the only way you're going to get to it is to open it up.

Though, I wouldn't recommend jumping solder points if you don't know what you're doing.

Opening it will be a last resort. I'm trying to get a printer cable so i could try some other stunt i heard about.

Opening it up is the only way the pre-USB2-era cables have nothing to do with the BIOS.
