Default Flash Drive Not Showing Up

On Friday, My Flash Drive was working Fine, and now everytime I put my Flash Drive on Windows 7 Laptop, I hear the sound it makes when I connect it, but the Drive won't show up.

I then tried it on my Windows XP, but it shows the icon on the taskbar, but there is no drive in "My Computer." It says that a driver needs to be installed, but why is it asking me now of all time?

Can I get my Flash Drive to work again? I have so many valuable info in there...

What brand is it? Have you called its service-centre?

Instead of "bu buh", it does "bu bu bu", right?

Name the brand and I'll see if I can help. If you don't have a lot of stuff in it, back it up and try formatting if you can.

Erease the mountingpoints out from the Win Registry.

    located in:
    Workspace\HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Win dows\CurrentVersion\Desktop\MountPoints2

    Disconnect Flash Drive
Open RegEdit and kill the Entrys IN the folder "MountPoints2"
    Connect Flash drive
    what happens?
