Default Trojan viruses hiding even in MP3's ?!

A few days ago McAfee has detected many fake MP3 files that are distributed through networks peer-to-peer. Although the files have names that make them seem audio recordings, they are in fact Trojan programs that try to install a computer in media player and doctored viruses, said Craig Schmugar, a McAfee researcher.

"Once you activate it, finds that there is content. You are sent on a site to install a player that you do not need, actually, "added to it.

Examples of false names of files are: preview-t-3545425-changing times earth wind. Mp3 and t-3545425-just got lucky.mp3. Users are urged to accept a license agreement before the Trojan to install two programs on your computer: NetNucleus and wonder.

In ironically, while surprisingly says that software will show pop-ups, send NetNucleus ad links pop-up, so users who do not realize that he installed two programs could be fooled that achieve a Schmugar said.

Over the past few days McAfee has detected such files on more than 360 000 computers.

Your better of not using P2P programs anyway, There are much better way to get songs.

    beemp3 > P2P

And it's a hell of a lot easier to use than limewire or whatever it is you may be talking about.

Yea sounds like the stuff you find on P2P clients. I've gotten enough experience to not need any sort of virus protection program.
