    I'm using this on my Dell Vostro 1400.

    And I must say that the OS lags as much as Vista did (on my laptop)
    But, the navigation throughout Windows 7 is more simplified and easier to access, which is a big plus.

    Likewise, i'll be back to XP

    I've been using since beta and haven't any any issues at all. I've pretty much replaced XP with 7.

    Yep. I loved it, but I formatted D:\ because;
    a) My soundcard was being a biatch, so I had to reinstall drivers, reboot and repeat everytime I was going to use it.
    b) I am more used to XP, had it since 2001 and I see no reason to change now.

    There is no point switching from XP, it's a good stable operating system. I have had no problems with it at all and it just work's like a beast on rollerblades.
