I have an old computer fan that I want to install in my computer, but the connector is cut at the end, so I'm left with a red, black and yellow wire. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that means positive, negative and ground.
Anyway, I have a place to install it but I just don't know where to connect it.
It's a 12 volt fan that appears to be needing 0.145 ampere.
BTW... I have no previous experience of messing with hardware in any kind, so try to be very very clear when explaining

there shouldnt be a ground on this. The yellow wire is probably some kind of common circuit to control speed in some way. You should be able to run this fan using the red + black wire.
