Hello CSpot guys and gals, here are a few tips to help improve your utorrent speed, Most people will tell you "It depends on seeds and leechers" but that's only half the problem, if you have your settings set just right, it might help boost the speed of your downloads. I have had experience of this and my utorrent is set to it now, and it had download speeds of 200~400Kbps, which, with my bSKYb Internet, is pretty dang fast
Ok, so open Utorrent (This guide uses 1.8.3)
goto Options > Preferences
Connection > Port used for incoming connection > 45682
Connection > Enable UPnP port mapping > Ticked
Connection > Enable NAP-PMP port mapping > Ticked
Connection > Randomise port each start > Unticked
Connection > Add Windows Firewall exception > Ticked
Bandwidth > Maximum Upload Rate > Automatic:Unticked Value:150
Bandwidth > Alternative Upload Rate > Unticked
Bandwidth > Maximum Download Rate > 1890
Bandwidth > Global Maximum Number Of Connections > 200
Bandwidth > Maximum Number Of Connected Peers Per Torrent > 2329
Bandwidth > Number of upload slots per torrent > 14
Bandwidth > Use additional slots if upload speed < 90% > Ticked
BitTorrent > Enable DHT Network > Ticked
BitTorrent > Enable DHT for new torrents > Ticked
BitTorrent > Enable Local Peer Discovery > Ticked
BitTorrent > Ask tracker for scrape information > Ticked
BitTorrent > Enable Peer Exchange > Ticked
BitTorrent > Limit Local Peer Bandwidth > Unticked Value:*blank*
BitTorrent > Protocol Encryption > Enabled and box ticked
Queing > Maximum number of Active torrents > 60
Queing > Maximum number of Active Downloads > 63
Queing > Ratio <= 100% or seeding time is <= 0
Queing > Limit the upload rate to > Unticked
Enjoy

umm, if this is anything like other torrent downloaders, then the settings will be based off of the individuals upload speed. So what works for you may not work for someone else.
You are missing the most important part. You need to go into your router's settings
and port forward the port you chose in utorrent's setting. You also need a static ip address.

Fast fact: Windows by default keeps many ports off to stop the spreading of viruses and unathorised access. This action also limits UTP protocol based transfer speeds.

plus your only uploading at a 15kbs if everybody on here did you'd have slow downloads no matter what your settings.upload at what you download then every one can have faster downloads
Lol, I'll try this guide. I'm usually at 200-800 kbps. Sometimes a meg if the seeders are good.

Wrong. uTorrent will not download viruses to your computer. I have never torrented a virus for two reasons: I have a source that I can trust, and two, I'm not stupid. You'll never get a virus from actual torrent files or uTorrent. Also, you can torrent free stuff too. Torrenting is just an easy P2P solution and it also helps people keep their servers clean.
What I have to say to 100% paid programs, pbbbt. I'll die a pirate. You can kiss my ass if you think I'm paying for some of the things I pirate when they're not even worth the dough.
Another thing, if you just download the trial of a program and use an alternate activation method, you don't even have to torrent the thing you want. This is why I get mad at people that jack Adobe crap.
