Oh, sweet, nice to have other people from the UK around; I'm in the Midlands. Is that Sunday afternoon as in Sunday tomorrow? If so, great! I'm really looking forward to it.
I've already read up on the rules and archives/past winners, so I'm pumped. I was so inspired by this thread I went out for a walk at 6am to take pictures - my hands were so cold it took me 10 minutes to change lenses!

hahah, sounds like someone has a DSLR finally, some good competition. Spread POTW if possible, cheers and keep checking back for the theme. Also unlike sotw, potw submissions are open for 7 days to give people time to take some pictures. And were abouts in UK? I'm from West Yorkshire.

Haha, you got me, I got a DSLR a few months ago now since I had a lot of disposable income. I'm still very noob-ish at photography, though, but I have always enjoyed taking pictures and it's something I'd quite like to progress at and most of all, enjoy. I'm getting my head around the basics now though and I got some great shots yesterday; I'm learning!
The theme hasn't been decided on yet, then? Disappointing , I was hoping to know what it was today so I could start early experimenting. I know this POTW thing isn't for magazines or has very many people participating, but I'm excited to start!
I'm about half an hour away from Birmingham, as that's the only place remotely near here that anyone's ever heard of - I live in Tamworth. Was born in Gateshead though so I do have Geordie blood.
Even though there's a 7-day limit, I'd probably post my entry on the same day/day after the theme is announced. Impatience, I guess.
