Default PS3 Firmware v2.80 Now Live

Just got news that firmware version 2.80 will be coming out soon.
This firmware claims to improve the playback of some PLAYSTATION 3 format software.

I'll update this thread when it comes out.

UPDATE: Firmware version 2.80 is now live.
Update now =)

What does this mean you may ask your self?

Well, you know on the back of the game boxes ALOT of them ONLY say 720p...

well....if you change your video settings so that 720p is disabled, and only 480p *yeah i know it sucks, but it HAS to be selected* and 1080p are selected, many games will now play at 1080p that were before locked at 720p :O

THESE are good updates!!!
