I have a 250gb in mine and it is full of HD movies and TV shows. It's nice to bea able to watch my favorite movies without having to use the BR drive. Most Blue Ray movies are well over 4gb in size and the PS3 cannot read a file of that size from an external HD since those drives have to be in FAT/FAT32 format.

for now i believe the 120 is fine but i've been suspicious about the ps1 and ps2 memory slot on the ps3 itself i believe sony is plannin on uploadin ps2 games on the play station store. thats why they are coming up with this 250 gigs memory...well that's what i think
Well 250 gb is small hahah this is just too old for me i have a 60 gb ps3 upgraded to 500 gb HDD well 250 is just half well i am also planning to upgrade my ps3 to 1 TB hehehe 250 is nothing so dont get so excited about this
250GB HDD, not sure what to use it for as that the option to install Linux has been removed from the new slim design meaning that the ability to force backward-compatibility via PS2 emulator is no longer possible. Nonetheless, its only an extra 50 bucks which is definitely worth it!!
