Default Midnight Club: LA Remix Review

Picked it up today and played it for a good day and a half. This review sums up my thoughts

Presentation: 7/10
Great
Loads better then Dub Editon on psp and menus are straight foward and everything is organized.
Bump CPU to 333 and it will load quick

Graphics: 8/10
Great for a psp.
Great car models
Great framrate
Kinda feels washed put in some places though especially view distance

Sound: 8/10
Good choice of music from thechno to electronica to rap and Hard rock. Something for everyone.
Soudn effects are good as well.

Gameplay: 9/10
Easy to use controls. Similar to DUB. As well as 4 more sets of controls and the ability to make your own set up.
Two Cities, Tokyo and Los Angeles.
Cars from the 1989 WW Golf GTI to the 2008 Audi R8 as well as muscle cars, luxury sedans, tuners and exotics and lets not forget bikes.
Thre AI can be easy and hard. Just like DUB, if you fall behind it will take awhile to come back.
Deep customization. Customize everything from Bumpers, to hoods, to paint.
Multiple game modes from Regular Ordered races to delivery missions.
Police are okay

Lasting Appeal: 7.5/10
Two Open Cities with Two Careers
Many MP Party modes that can be played with AI as well as human players.
Sadly no Wi Fi only Ad hoc.
Many cars to try and race.

Final: 8/10
Great Game. I was impressed by it.

I reccomand a rent or buy for racing fans. Much to do and good fun on the road.

I got a "version" of this game and tried it out.

The customization leaves something to be desired, compared to DUB, only 4 choices?!?!

Frame rate is good, but I wish I could just hear the phone messages, not have the slow mo.

And don't do this as an iso/cso, illegal hackers. Runs like a bad emulator and once you get that fixed, the dang thing crashes often. Not that I'm saying I did that, I just know a guy.

Over all, good game.

i agree, awsome game!
great music, graphics, game modes...all it needs is more cars, and the ability to play your own music(i can thanks to music prx =D) but w/an actual player in-game, so my music is with the game rather than over it...but in the end, this game is awsome!
and btw, i have it on iso..(=O dont tell any one!) and it works fine! my clock is at 333..

I think it has more "secret" unlockable cars because when you race you see that the AI drive cars that aren't available in the garage.

I think it's a good game it's worth buying at least.

My Rating: 8/10

also, I have a fully customized nissan skyline and a ford GT

I've still got my 240SX, almost fully tuned and a stock Camero.
