Thanks for this but I can't even get my recovery mode to work...
I think it's the firmware I have. It's a 5.5 i think. But anyway, do I need to downgrade? And if so, how do I do that?

Akira, I think you should add a part/section on how to install plugins for people with HEN CFWs. I think it would be really great, and it would also go with my guide on how to "Hack" the PSP.

I have already pointed people to your guide if they want to know how to install plugins on my guide, but you only have it for people with Full CFW.

If you do not know how to install plugins on HEN CFW, I can tell you. Its fairly easy.

Hi all,
First of all it's a great thread but I do need a little help.

I have a PSP 3000 running 5.03 GEN-A(FULL) CFW

I have a bit of trouble activating plug-ins despite the very clear explanation, and that because I simply do not see the plugins in the recovery menu as if they weren't there at all

I have tried installing RemoteJoy and Ultimate VSH menu and I simply don't know what I did wrong. the only thing I can think of is that I haven't installed CXMB but I haven't because I'm afraid I'll do something wrong and brick my PSP(the info to the CFW said no custom themes)

any help would be appreciated

since you are on a HEN CFW, its kind of different for you.

First you need to put your PSP back on 5.03 OFW (don't load ChickHEN or 5.03 GEN for HEN yet, just stay on the 5.03 OFW)
Now you are going to have to install the plugins onto the PSP by putting them in the "SEPLUGINS" folder.
Next you have to create a "GAME.txt" and a "VSH.txt" file. you can follow the steps in the guide on how to do this.
Once you have edited the txt files with the needed lines in them, make sure you add a "1" at the end of each line in both txt files to enable the plugin.
Now after you did that, you can load ChickHEN, and 5.03 GEN for HEN.
Your plugins should be working when you start up 5.03 GEN for HEN.
