did you read the guide? if not, read it and then you can ask for help. i'm not going to help anyone if they didn't atleast read and try to follow the guide cause then it makes the guide pointless.

Since your PSP is a Phat or a Slim TA-085/TA-088 v1 or v2, then you can continue with the following steps.

Now this is where you decide to install 5.00 M33-6, or 5.50 GEN-A/B/B2. Some of you may be asking whats the difference and are there any upsides/downsides to each CFW? To answer your question(s) I will tell you... because that would only be the right thing to do, duh!

5.00 M33-6
Upside - More compatable with apps, plugins, and homebrew games.
- More common, and is made by the person who started the whole PSP hacking.
Downside - Can not play games that require FWs higher than 5.00 (This is with every CFW)
- Can not access PSN Store, or play games that were downloaded from the PSN Store.
5.50 GEN-A/B/B2

Upside - Has been becoming more popular due to DAX (M33 HeadMaster) not upgrading his M33 CFW to 5.5X.
- Can access PSN Store, and play games that were downloaded from the PSN Store
Downside - Not all plugins work with this CFW, but Devs are starting to update their plugins for GEN CFWs. So this is in the middle of "Upside" and "Downside"
- Can not play games that require FWs higher than 5.50 (This is with every CFW)
Step 4: Now that you have ChickHEN R2 loaded, you have to download and install HellCat's Recovery Flasher v1.60.

Step 5: Download the 5.00 OFW Update a.k.a 500.PBP.

Step 6: Once you have the 5.00 OFW Update, make sure it is named "500.PBP". Next, put that on the root of your memory stick (The root of the memory stick is the window that pops up when you first plugin in your PSP to the Computer via USB Cord).

Step 7: Now that you have all those files and tools downloaded and installed, you are ready for the process to install Full CFW!

Step 8: Run HellCat's Recovery Flasher on your PSP. It will bring you to a menu, where you have to accept the disclaimer or it won't let you run the application. Once you accept, you will be in another menu, this is where the magic happens.

Step 9: Scroll down to where it says "Install CFW (of version selected above)"
Note: MAKE SURE THE VERSION ABOVE IS 5.00, IF IT IS NOT CHANGE IT!

Step 10: Now you can press the "X" button to start installing CFW. It will do some stuff for a few seconds, and once it is done, it will ask you to press any button to shutdown your PSP, do that and when you turn your PSP back on, you will be on CFW!

If you would like to upgrade to 5.50 GEN-A/B/B2, then continue to follow the steps below.

Step 11: Once you are on 5.00 M33-6, download and install 5.50 GEN-A [Full] onto your PSP and run the app and follow the on-screen instructions.

If you would like to upgrade to 5.50 GEN-B/B2 which I recommend if you are on 5.50 GEN-A, then continue to follow the steps below.

Step 12: Now it is time to update to 5.50 GEN-B. First you need to download the 5.50 GEN-B Update and install that onto your PSP, and run the app and follow the on-screen instructions.

If you would like to upgrade to 5.50 GEN-B2, which I highly recommend if you are on 5.50 GEN-B , then continue to follow Step 13.

Step 13: Once you have updated to 5.50 GEN-B, you can now download 5.50 GEN-B2 Update and install it the same exact way you did for 5.50 GEN-B

NOTE: 5.50 GEN-B is the update to 5.50 GEN-A to fix some bugs, but some apps like Recovery Flasher v1.60 do not work on GEN-B so if you want, it is preferred you upgrade to 5.50 GEN-B2 because Recovery Flasher v1.60 now works 100%

Tools Needed

5.50 GEN-A [Full] Upgrade
5.50 GEN-B Update
5.50 GEN-B2 Update

Alright, so now I have my mms, but for some reason the battery I modded hasn't become a pandora batery yet. I've scratched it so many times already and am pretty sure that the line's been cut, but for some reason it hasn't happened yet.

Edit:Would it make any difference if it was a battery I just recently bought?

hmmmmm. idk if it being a new battery could be the problem...

EDIT: you know what, i should've asked you one question before you even did that to your battery.

What kind of PSP do you have? 1000? 2000? 3000?/Phat? Slim? Brite?

I got a Slim 2001. It was first modded by a friend using a phat battery. I'm not sure what the motherboard is though.

ok since it was modded/hacked previously with a Phat Battery, then you should have a hackable MoBo.

are you trying to turn a Slim Battery into a Pandora Battery? if so, i have a video on the first page of my guide that show you how to make a Slim Battery into a Pandora Battery.

No Phat Batteries, only Slims. I should add a video of how to make a Pandora Battery out of a Phat Battery though.

Good guide, leo. It needs a little more attention to detail and of the smaller things like the whole 'h.bin' deal for ChickHEN that I mentioned in another thread and whatnot. otherwise well done. Keep up the good work.

you mean lift the pin that is connected to the chip? then yes.

as for which one... idk, there are some pics that you can find, or just look at a video. idk if its the first pin or the last pin, it depends on how you are looking at it.
