I suggest you uninstall GEN-A using CFWE 3.50 for it has an uninstall option. Then re-enable ChickHEN and install GEN-B. All should work fine after that. Good luck!

Check your PM box! and for those whom have the same problem this is what you need to do. Do the ChickHEN R2 and go ahead and load the CFW as you would usually do. Yeah for some reason it will say 5.03 GEN-A (FULL), don`t worry. Now go to the GEN-B Updater and press and hold the L button when you start the updater and you will come up with a screen that will say Emergency Installer or something like that and just do the patch again and you will be in GEN-B.

DO NOT USE CUSTOM FIRMWARE ENABLER CFW 3.61 (or other version of the MHU)
if ChikHEN-R2 / GEN-A didnt work !!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
After you shut down and restart your PSP, you'll lose your configuration. If you
try to set up, from the begining, ChikHEN-R2 then GEN-A then GEN-B, you WILL
end up with your CFW 5.03 GEN-A not GEN-B.

Trying to install the updater GEN-B will prompt you the message that "your PSP
will now reboot in GEN-B" which is wont be the case
--------------------------------------------------------------------
First off, when you restart in official firmware, launch your ChikHEN-R2
then, launch the updater GEN-B (not GEN-A) but before doing so, proceed like this
i) press the L button of your PSP, ii) keep pressing the L, then iii) press the
updater GEN-B.
In this case you will see the configuration panel of the updater GEN-B. Press (X)
to patch and restart in GEN-B
<< thanks to Z3R088 of pspslimhacks.com community for this tip>>

notice: you dont have to run the installer GEN-A after launching your ChikHEN-R2s
because GEN-A was already been flashed in the first place (before the shutdown).
You can check the system CFW version status of your PSP after updating to
cfw 5.03 GEN-B.
<< thanks to 4Runner of pspslimhacks.com community for this tip>>
---------------------------------------------------------------------
If the previous process of re-updating into GEN-B dont work as proceeded, follow
these next instructions:

After installing ChikHEN-R2, go to recovery menu (Press Select). Under configuration
and set these parameters:
1) Autorun program at PSP/GAME/BOOT/EBOOT.PBP set to (enable)
2) UMD MODE set to (Sony NP9660 -no UMD-)
3) Fake region set to (Disabled)
4) Use VshMenu set to (Recovery)
5) Use M33 network update set to (Disabled)
6) Use version.txt set to (enabled)
7) Use Game Categories set to (enabled)
<< thanks to 4Runner of pspslimhacks.com community for this tip>>

close the configuration's panel (Press select). Press L, then the updater of GEN-B
and you will see the panel of the updater ready to patch the system
