Default PSP Wont turn on unless plugged in.

So my friend gave me his old psp 1000 saying it was broken, I took it of course.
It won't turn on unless the charger is in, it is not the battery, I switched out the battery in to another psp 1000 and it says it's full charged.

It's not hacked, normal firmware.
Help?

Hello there.

Please explain your issue some more as i got slightly lost when you said, its NOT hacked, or NORMAL firmware, do you mean physical Hacks like LED Lights and stuff?

As for it not turning on unless plugged in, are you sure the pins for the battery on the PSP system arent damaged? Because you did say it works on another PSP system.

Its not hacked physically or software hacked.

And there is no physical sign of damage on the pins.

So its got Official Firmware installed and there is no physical hacks, and the battery pins arent damaged.

Maybey the system is damaged internally some way, check with your friend to ensure he/she hasnt dropped it quite alot because the battery pin wires within the PSP system are connected to the mainboard, a wire may have come loose slightly, destroying the battery section of the PSP system internally, which is why when you use the adapter it all functions correctly as the adapter section of the system is connected to the mainboard directly.

If the wire has come loose, it shouldn't be able to charge correct?
It charges, and displays how much power it has.

This is true, so what your saying basically is, the system refuses to power on without the AID of the adapter?

im not to good with the internal PSPstuff... but maybe there are more than one wire inside that deal with batteries... so maybe its just one of those wires for reading the battery to be able to turn on and all that isnt connected right or something like that.. like i said, im no good with internal things...

the same thing happened to me with my old psp i bought it brand new and after like 3 months it wouldn't start without the ac adaptor so i just decided to hack it with pandoras battery give it a try with pandora's battery and if it doesn't work i suggest that you just save some extra money and get a psp-2000
i think there is something wrong with the firmware not the hardware...
