THIS<---- should help
This plug-in keeps ChickHEN and 5.03 GEN-A or B active. Even if you reboot your PSP-3000
By the way Its called SEDNA
Watch this THIS to see how to install it

Gen-C stops your PSP from fully turning off, update your console.

why would you ever fully turn off the psp unless it crashes?

My psp3000 has not seen official firmware for almost 3 weeks now!

Why do you shut it down? Battery still drains even when shut down, just flick the power switch and put it in sleep mode. If you don't use the psp for over a week, then you will notice battery drain, otherwise if you use it every day you will see no difference in battery power loss goinig in standby compared to shutting down.

Its the same as your car, there is always a small amount of power consumption, usually to keep the clock right and to keep engine calibration, when the vehicle is off. Leave it sit there for a month or so and you will need a boost.

With Electronic devices its the same, clocks & other features may need to consume a small amount of juice to keep clocks and settings correct. This of course is not for all but for quite a few, while the consumption is usually too small to notice.
