Default [Super Guide] a.k.a. PSP Noob Guide

OK this thread is basically well a Super guide. Am going to try to make this guide at least good enough for every one to understand.

But for now my first part of guide is the PSP CFW Handbook.
Yes a Handbook. Basically the do's and don'ts on what to do your cfw psp.Ok I may not get all of them on my first term. If you got any great ideas places PM them to me first.

PSP Handbook Yours do's and Donts

Do
Always, Always and Always Back up Your Flash0.
This is the most important thing people forget!

*Don't Delete Only, Always Overwrite.*
  • Always make a nand dump of your OWN psp.
Tip on how to do so:
Use the last Despertar del Cementerio. Which is Version 7, make the Magic Memory stick and A Pandora Battery, then start it up, The option to make a dump nand will be available.*

Don't
  • If you don't know how to flash,
Please learn to do so. It's always beginners that screw this up.
    Practice makes Perfect.
(Video is in the post below)(If anyone wants to submit a video PM me first)*
  • Please don't flash a Custom Theme thats not for your firmware.
    (example a 3.52m33 theme into a 3.71m33)
  • If your a Noob, I believe this is important
Please stay away from Recovery menu. Until your fully ready to do so.
    Don't rush the process.*
  • Never use another's psp dump nand, It will cause problems*
    (You have been warned!)
  • Never try to change a psp part (hardware) mods unless familiar to it*
    Example: Battery!(please do your research!)
  • Do not use a different firmware flash0 backup on your psp
Or for that matter any Flash0 that isn't yours
  • Do not put the cpu clock below default your psp will get messed up

If you believe I showed add anything else please PM.

If you got any great ideas places PM them to me first.

Default Flashing themes.

How to Flash themes On a 3.71m33 (same method for 3.80m33 & 3.90m33). (Video)

So far, in my opinion this is probably the best video out now on how to flash themes.Sadly it was Flashed Using a Mac.
If Any Can make a video. On a windows Or Ubuntu Please PM me the link to post it here.

Thanks To ericlebrun At youtube for the video

Very Important tips
When you're switching themes it's probably better to copy over the original original Module, Resource and font folders.Doing so will prevent alot of bugs you may have on your new theme you recently add. So remember to copy over the original Module, Resource and font folders.

How To Backup Your Flash0 and Install A Custom XMB Theme

**************************************************

The next part of the tutorial is how to install a custom XMB theme.

Coming Soon.....

Remember if you ever want to put a new theme in, first put in your backup, then put in your new theme. This is done to prevent themes from overlapping and mixing.

Before anything, I mean anything, always backup your flash0!!

Learned that from experience.
This is a good thing you're doing here. PM me if you need any help. I just got through joining these forums but have been doing firmware-related things for 3-4 months with 5 different PSPs. It's great fun!
