Very New - Please Help - Console Spot Forums

I've have read through several of the tutorials and they all seem very complicated and I don't even know where to start.

I just bought a Madden Package PSP over the weekend. I bought the PSP for 2 reasons. Watch Movies on the go and then I heard that you can emulate other systems. I'm a 26 year old guy who's pretty tech savvy, but I've never done homebrew before. There are only two things that I want. The first one I've heard of as the UMD dumper where you can copy your UMDs onto your Memory Stick. The other one is Emulators. I mainly just want the main consoles, NES, SNES, Genesis, PSOne, N64, PS2/Gamecube(if possible). That's it, I don't really want any of the other stuff, I just want to be able to load my Memory stick with games both Roms and UMBs and go to down because I travel a lot and I hate having to carry a lot of UMDs or things like that.

So, if you guys could recommend me to a tread or a feature that deals with changing my new Blue Madden PSP to be able to Emulate and UMD Dump I would be very greatful.

Go to Settings and Select System Settings...
simple? Then go to System Information it will have your nickname mac address and your firm ware displayed for you...

Okay... you have ofw 4.05(Original Firmware 4.05)

you need cfw(Custom Firmware) to do all the things you want...So you need a Pandoras Battery and a Magic Memorystick to install cfw...Since your PSP is new it has the new Motherboard, preventing you from creating a Pandoras Battery... But you can buy one offline if you search up PSP tool Battery or something close to that...

But i believe you can make your own Magic Memory Stick on your own... but i dont know(i never did it with ofw)...

But the easiest thing to do to get started with cfw is to ask a friend who has a PSP is there PSP running on cfw 4.01 m33(4.01 m33-2),4.05 GEN or 4.05tdp

Ok, here's a question, would it be easier to buy an older PSP and go from there?

which i suggest you buy from amazon as you are new to this sorta stuff
pm me for more info on pandora and stuff thats the only way to downgrade from 4.05 firmware
