You show me a 150 kernel homebrew, I'll show you an equivalent 3XX
Well I suppose that's true, also there is converters out there to make 1.00 HB and 1.50 that needed the 1.50 Kernel work on 2.00+
So I suppose it's not that bad. I know this will sound stupid but does the 1.50 Kernel addon effect the GAME150 folder? Will you still be able to use the GAME150 Folder even without the Kernel? Personally I didn't think it mattered but you guys would know better than me on this one.
GAME150 folder only works with the addon installed. Putting a 1.50 kernel homebrew in it will allow you to use the homebrew without actually selecting 1.50 kernel in recovery/vsh, granted you have the addon installed. Without the addon the GAME150 folder is useless.
Not a bad question, a lot of people still are confused about what the GAME, GAME150 and GAME3XX uses are.

Seriously savestate is gonna be the best thing ever. I hope it's like in the gpSP emulator for PSP. I wonder how to use this savestate option. DARK ALEX U ARE THE BEST PSP DEVELOPER EVER!!:up:

I know, I felt like a noob asking but it has been bothering me for a while now as to the function of the GAME folders. I thank you for clearing that up. Now I wonder how we'll be able to use app's that need that folder, I know there are some HB that will work for the GAME or GAME3XX folders but there are some that have been written specifically for the GAME150, even though they could work in the regular GAME folder. How do you bypass that? I know I have a couple of app's even though written in the 1.00 format they only work properly in the GAME150 folder (1 is something that came out in 2005 the other is something recent) they will work in the GAME folder just not well or are more prone to crash unless in the GAME150 folder. I assume that's a kernel issue that has something to do with this.
Also in a side note (Noob Statement and Question Warning)
I recently discovered that a problem I also had was I couldn't get things working in the GAME3XX folder because I labeled it GAME390, I always thought label it to the current CFW as you go along. Well I was wrong, relabeled it GAME380 and now I have another working folder. I'm still not too sure why that is an issue, but I suppose there's a reason for it. As long as it works I guess I shouldn't worry about it. However I would like to know why GAME390 doesn't work for 3.90M33 I mean it is 390 so why would GAME380 work and GAME390 not? I'm guessing this has something to do with the way the CFW was made in the coding process.
Sorry to seem like a scatter brain here, I'm usually good at things in the PSP Realm however it's these few little details here and there I slip on, or rather I hear what to do and execute it without thinking of the process of things and why they do what they do, for example you tell me to put something in the GAME150 folder, I do it but don't think why does it need to be there. I just know it works there and end it at that leaving my inner thought unanswered.
Lets say you are in the middle of a game and you can't save. Lumines for example. And you want to go listen to some music or use the web browser. Well you use a savestate to back up the RAM so you can come back later and be exactly where you were, how you were. Its incredibly useful.
Oooooh, that is really useful , too bad Im still on OFW , 4.00 to be exact.

You are not alone, I asked this on a different board a while back and received to answer. When I installed 3.90 I noticed the 380 folder, and continued to rename it to 390....yeah you guessed it, no 3xx homebrew worked for a week
I am guessing it is a simply coding issue, but even that is just me speculating.

Also I'd assume the Save State feature would work better on an ISO than UMD, I mean I think it would take forever for the state to load on the disc. This would also be great for some of those HB that don't have save state ability or if you just need to do something else quick.
One issue I think I'd have would be the RAM, I mean I wonder how much memory this would take up to use the SS feature? I assume the RAM will be made in the MS and not the PSP itself right? I have a 4Gig MS with 512MB free, so I hope that would not be an issue. I'm sure he'll make it so you can edit how much RAM the SS will take or what you'll use it for. Chances are I'll use it for ISO's seeing as I get sick of having to do things over and over. Like someone mentioned before, you get to a point where the saving is either at the end or in the main menu but your in no place to do so, you die and guess what. You have to play it over again! That's the only thing I hate with Bleach Heat The Soul 5, you get so far in a battle through tags or challenges and then on the last battle you die, now you have to do the tower all over again (Okay this game hasn't a tower system but it does have a survival mode) I suppose a better game would be Darkstalkers Chaos Tower, the tower mode. Not to mention I'd either have to use the USB or Web Browser, well in the midst of battle you can quit but they count it as a game over so you'll have to start the fights all over again so it's not too convinient but with a SS feature you could save on the spot and feel free to come back later.
