Mr. Shizzy,

Thanks for your great work on this neat app. I've just started playing with it, I've had a couple of partial bricks, but easy to fix. (I bothered to back up my f0 before I started playing around. I even have my original nand dump before my first hack.)

If you're thinking of changing your focus, here's what I'd really, really like. An application (preferably Intel Mac, but XP would be fine) that accepts flash0 AND CTF themes as input, allows me to mix and match my own components, and outputs a CTF OR flash0 theme.

Since you're a PSP Dev, not a Mac or XP Dev, if you can take all the above functionality and put it into a 4.xx CFW compatible app, that would be just as good. (Maybe even better, I don't know.)

Basically, I want what this current app is trying to provide: The ability to mix and match my favorite components from my favorite downloaded themes. All my favorite theme's come as CTF files, and I've been using it for a while. It's great. However, the ability to put a wave in front of custom wallpaper (and have that wallpaper hard-coded as the screen on boot) is a really nice benefit of flash0 themes.

Whatever you decide to do, thanks for your contributions.

PS. Your app just worked flawlessly to flash one of the included themes. (I populated the recovery folder with my own backup by hand previously) Now I'm going to try and see if I can do the same with my favorite theme (Organ.) Then I'll try mixing Organ with my favorite wallpaper, flashed to f0, which is all I've been wanting to do today.

Mr. Shizzy,

I have a request. I'm new to psp theming, but I have no qualms about hex editing. Unfortunately, I don't really have the time or inclination to tease out what happens when I change a specific byte by trial and error. (Five minutes per byte * number of bytes in vsh/module)

I've searched high and low for a prx offset list. There is the xmb font and sidebar color list, which doesn't seem to affect the xmb font color, and I've found a set of hex workshop bookmarks, which have very poor documentation (they're far better than nothing, but still very confusing.)

Could you possibly post the 4.01 offsets (and what numbers change what) that you are aware of? I didn't think the information would be so hard to find, but it is. You can reply and post it here, if you'd like, because I'm going to be checking back on this thread anyway. I'm hoping to hear some news about what you're going to do next. I'm also going to ask for the offsets in a new request thread, because I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants them.

Thanks,
phor2zero

P.S. I never could find the offset for changing the XMB font color. I opened up your snazzy XMB Editor v3.0 and, lo and behold, there's an option for changing the font color. I wanted white (you only offer grey and black,) but the grey works perfectly. I still don't know where the change was made, though. (paf.prx, vshmain.prx?)

Don't give up on XMB Editor just yet. It's a very impressive piece of work. If you can iron out the bugs and make it much easier for people to add additional themes to the library, it could give CXMB a run for it's reputation.

For example: Add an option to automatically disassemble CTF files that are in PSP/THEME/ so that we can either flash the entire custom theme to f0, or we can use the pieces to build our own theme.
