Through some of the documents discovered on the FCC website, its now confirmed that Sony is indeed working on releasing a new model of the PlayStation Portable, the PSP-3001. Given the information, this said model appears to have no changes made to the external look compared to that of the 2000 model. Also it doesn't come with the rumored mic and redesigned HOME button(at least no confirmation yet).
The core details and specifications of this new model are still unavailable for the public. But we can guess that perhaps changes were made to the internal aspect of the system to reduce costs. And maybe even some changes that would make it, I don't know, harder to hack? We'll have to wait and see until more info is announced by Sony.
Pfft, my Phat which survived a barrel roll on a road will be as useful as this thing...
Heck, if it's revealed to be totally Pandora proof, Phat and Slim sales will Skyrocket!
Though I'm sure it won't be long before someone cracks this model anyway when it comes out.
and i was kinda expecting a total makeover... internal flash memory, browser cache (1GB of RAM at least) flash player (for playing youtube videos directly) longer battery (at least 10 hrs of gameplay on 1 single charge with the default battery) WLan A,B,G and N modules (or better yet built-in modem in case there's no WIFI available), dual analog nub.
and maybe, cook for me dinner, do my dishes, laundry, give me a good back and ass massage too

Come down guys they say that these are not even all of what they are working on for the psp.(if it is then screw them)But i hope they do add more stuff to it like a UMD blu-ray drive(if even possible) and 480p screen(if even possible).Just making suggestions
