    Default Sessler - Sony shouldn't make a PSP 2

In a recent interview with G4's Adam Sessler, an interesting question had been made: Should Sony, if or if not they plan on manufacturing it, release a PSP 2? Sessler goes on to say it might not be the best move on Sony's part, especially with the highly anticipated Nintendo 3DS coming out next year. Some may think that making a new PSP will actually hurt Sony in the long run, especially with the recent download only PSP GO! still getting average sales.

Sessler also says that it would be a wiser choice for Sony to invest in the PlayStation Network, with recent statistics showing Microsoft's Xbox Live taking the lead.

Now your thoughts. Should Sony go on with the PSP 2? How will it compete with the 3DS? How much would you think it will cost, and finally, what would you like to see new in it?

Here is a little excerpt from the full interview:
But I have to question the rationale of having another PSP when Nintendo, especially with the 3DS is going to so dominate that market that are you just throwing good money after bad? And as we just said, when the PlayStation Network could use such a revitalization, is it better to invest there than in what really seems to be a losing race with Nintendo.

Well Sony is losing the race against Nintendo (unless they throw sumthing really big on the market aganist Nintendo) so yea wasting money on another psp would be senseless. So basically they should just improve/invest in the things they have rite now

The Sess may have a point here, giving the fact that the ds have been pwning the handheld market and that the 3ds is getting more buzz before its out, Sony has already lost the next battle even before it began. Sony should keep the psp as is and continue supporting it as well.

    Thanx to afterlife1230

If the Go was a flop, how do they know that the PSP2 will do any better?

It makes sense. Honestly, with no CFW available, Sony will just be setting their money on fire and throwing it to the Koi fish in the pond.

Bah! So as the previous PSP's failed they shouldn't be another one?
Fine. Continue selling the fail models instead of doing something about it and releasing something that you actually want to buy.
