Yes because if you have a psp slim running custom firmware your limited to only playing a certain amount amount of games because of the model the psp slim is. so with this update thing you can now play games that the psp fat can play.

it's official, i'm getting a slim when this app is out!

so let me get this straight. I have a PSP Slim running 3.80M33-5. With this, I will be able to add the 1.5 kernel to the fw which will then allow me to play homebrew and such? will i still be using my 3.80M33 or will i be using 1.50?

yes you will still be using 3.80M33, with 1.5 kernel support now

Yes, when the slim first came out, DA said he COULD make a 1.5 kernel for the slim, but said he was not going to because coders need to start writing for new fw, instead of 1.5.

Guess he finally changed his mind

So what so cool about 1.50 kernel, What are the benefits of having a 1.5 kernel, I know that u can play games that the psp slim can't play, but people keep making homebrew games that do work for the slim and they do Work and they are cool. (If this sound stupid it's because I'm new at this)

Yeah and one more question, Is it possible for some one to make Halo trial work on the psp, or is doing this breaking a copyright law.><><

I am sure this will deal with flashing the nand or the IDStorage completly or partially but the screen still flickered on the slim and it did take awile to load so it will probably be a beta forever.

As long as it works

also

MAKE BACK_UPS OF YOUR NANDS PEAPLE if you will ever do this to your PSP's
