an issue i've noticed is that when the keyboard is open the date/time, as well as, the battery indicator end up overlapping the keyboard. and when ever the " /\ Options" is on the screen the date/time are hidden.

that's not an "issue" its that way every theme. There is no way to hide the battery and time in the osk. So they stay in the same position as the main xmb.
