RCO Editor v1.15b

[Evolve]

The PSPs flash contains numerous RCO files (localized resources) in the flash0:/vsh/resource folder. These files contain various things such as icons, sounds, text and so on, which the PSP uses to display the XMB interface.

RCO Icon editor makes it easy to replace icons, sounds, text, and modify some data.

Zinga Burga has created this tool to edit these RCOs easily and efficiently. Lets hope some new people try to make some themes because of the ease of use with this update!

Remember to use this guide to make the icons, then use this tool to edit the RCOs.

XMB Terms:

1. XMB - The main menu of the PSP.
2. system_plugin.rco - Click sounds when you scroll
3. photo_plugin.rco - photo loading icon & folders
3. game_plugin.rco - game loading icons & currupted icon
4. savedata_plugin.rco - Savedata loading icon
5. system_plugin_fg.rco - Battery icon
6. impose_plugin.rco - Volume Bar
7. opening_plugin.rco - start up sounds/word/bootwave (when you turn your PSP on)
8. gameboot.pmf - short video clip when you start a game & hombrew app
9. 1-12.bmp - Month theme colors
10. system_plugin_bg.rco - Backgroung Waves
11. topmenu_plugin.rco - Menu Icons (photo, Music, Game, Video, Setup, Network)
12. Bootwave - opening wave (also when you turn on your PSP)
13. ltn0.pgf - This is the font that displays only on the XMB and Web browser (not in a UMD)

So what sort of things can this program achieve? Well, you can just take a look around the many themes which are now possible with this. You can find a list of some themes here.

thnx a lot for this evolve...i had an old version....& created a xmb with it that NOBODY wud like but i think i might be able to create a better one this time with this new rco editor

everytime i try to download the new rco editor it says the rar file is damaged... i so want this!
