Ok guys as you can tell I have not been around that much for the last few weeks. What with family and work it’s been a bit difficult trying to find time for online stuff. Anyway I am back, so I can hopefully help you out with this tutorial.
I am not sure if you guys that have requested help have sorted your problem out by now. So it’s pointless trying to sort out past problems if you guys have solved the issue by now. So, any posts after this i can keep track of and hopefully help you guys out
I am not sure if "MX" is the same as "Macromedia Fireworks 8" so that could be why some of you guys are having the problem with the option of "Flattened PNG" not being available.
The second problem is, if the image you are trying to save as "Flattened PNG" is a JPEG then this is also why the option is not available. Try finding the image you want to use in PNG or PSD then follow the steps again.
Failing that, cut or "render" the JPEG image you have then save it as a PNG then follow the steps again. This will sort the problems out.
I tried using the same settings in Fireworks MX 2004 but it doesn't seem to work with that program, Theme Creater keeps on rejecting my pngs. I guess I'll have to download the bloated 200+ MB Fireworks CS3 and try that.
Edit: Nevermind, I found out what I was doing wrong. Fireworks MX 2004 works great!
I was using an icon that had less than 16 colors, so fireworks would automatically turn my image into a 4Bit png. (which Theme Creater does not support). Make sure your images have more than 16 colors.
Hi mate, can you share what you did to your editing so that we can also apply it on our theme creation? thanks in advance....
