This is an old project. I came up with the idea and designs for it long before all the others did. January 2008 to be exact. The fact was, I was lazy. I didn't think it was worth the effort till Xander started raving on about how great it was.
So 2 weeks ago, I started to code. And now its ready
So without further ado, we present The Consolespot theme database!
Features:
- Theme Previews
- Theme Ratings
- Fully automated
- Detailed info on each theme (Name, Author, Downloads, Date Submitted, Rating, Description)
- Works on both PSP and PC (The site detects if a PSP is viewing it and send the PSP to a PSP formatted style.)
- Submitting a theme is easy, simply fill out the form and it will be added!
- Runs on fail safe kangaroo butler technology!
1. Go to the site using a computer.
2. Click the 'Themes' link.
3. Click 'Submit a Theme'.
4. Enter the title of the theme in the 'Theme Name' field. (Note: The title cannot be longer than 20 characters)
5. Enter the author of the theme in the 'Theme Author' field. (Note: The author cannot be longer than 20 characters)
6. Enter a ConsoleSpot URL at which you found the theme in the 'Theme Website' field. It must be a valid URL.
7. In the 'Firmware Version' drop down box select the firmware for which the theme was designed.
8. Enter a description of the theme in the 'Description' textbox. If you cant think of anything simply type "This is blank" into the box.
9. When adding a theme you must add a valid preview image. The image MUST be either a PNG or JPEG under 3MB and must be exactly 480px in width and 272px in height. Click browse and select the image then click 'Ok'.
10. Now for the most important part, the theme itself. Click browse and select the CTF file then click 'Ok'. Only CTFs are allowed and they must be under 20MB.
11. If you want to be able to edit your theme at a later point, type a password into the Password field. There must be at least 6 characters in your password. (Note: Editing is not yet complete)
12. Finally click 'Submit' and hope that you entered everything correctly If you didn't you will get a message telling what you did wrong so that you can go back and correct it...
If you find any bugs or exploits please don't abuse them and report them to Maxexcloo or Evolve via PM, IM or Email. Please so not abuse the system or we will have to switch to a system where only certain people are allowed to submit themes.

I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with both Xander & Max on this project.
It was a pleasure, and hopefully this CTF Downloader will give PSP Users ease of searching for old themes and notification of new themes that are released.
