SanDisk and Sony to expand Memory Stick PRO / Micro to 2TB - Console Spot Forums

Monkey see, monkey do, eh? No sooner do we learn that SDHC will eventually morph into SDXC with a capacity limit of 2TB than Sony and SanDisk announce that the Memory Stick PRO / Memory Stick Micro will soon reach that same ceiling. In fact, the announcement is so new that the format doesn't even have a name (something along the lines of Extended High Capacity, probably), giving both of the formats the ability to reach 2TB on a single card. If all goes to plan, production should get going on the new formats sometime this year, so it's safe to say the race to a new top is officially on.

who would ever need 2 tb? that is way to much. thats about 100 times as much as my computer has. lol

Considering the price on SSDs lately, I wouldn't dare to imagine the price in one of those memory sticks.

hmm. You can have all PSP games, god damn many movies, LOTS of songs and other stuff... lol LOL! I wonder... If you would fill this whole memstick with one picture. Just copy it and paste it until it's filled. I'm pretty sure only the coping progress would take more then a couple of hours, but then. Scrolling to the bottom of all those. Like a million photos...

ehhmm... I thought about what Psyko said. To have all the PSP games, music and movies. That would be awesome. I'd have that thing everywhere I go... But to me its just a dream.

Psyko thats a memory stick pro, not a memory stick pro duo, different format, its like the adaptor that probably came with a memory stick you bought for you psp
