Nintendo Announces Silver and Gold Remakes

Holy crap, it happened!

They just couldn't wait until Sunday. No, sir. On Thursday, Nintendo eagerly announced the upcoming remake of Pokemon Gold and Silver, titled Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver, for the Nintendo DS. The games are scheduled to be released in Japan this fall, and Joystiq speculates that the game will probably come state-side by spring 2010.

this was already posted here,[news] My dream come true, but thats ok its great news. these were by far the best pokemon games ever. and the longest can't wait til they come out

Lol, I'm not much of a Pokemon fan but still those games were pretty fun for those days, Wonder how the remake would turn up to be like. 3D? XD!!!!!

They will use D/P/Pt's engine. Seeing how the FireRed/LeafGreen were made on the R/S/E engine, and that it's for the DS.

Yes the DS pokemon titles are 3d, only heightwise, you can notice it when walking in a city its a cool effect.
