This is fantastic news I expected it to outsell the other console because its a new console and its had a price cut but not by this much!

So has anyone purchased a PS3 Slim yet?

Im sticking with the original unless the slim gets somthing special like the psp slim did. The bravia sync doesnt mean much to me

PS3 vetran owners will prefer the phat ps3 but newcomers will go with the cheapest console they can find which in that case is the slim ps3. I myself will keep on goin with my awsome ps3 phat.

The PS3 Phat looks so much better. Why would sony make any changes to the already sexy logo? And psychical buttons? I think sony lost its sexy touch.

the slim is just a marketing/money making scheme, Sony undoubtedly could have made the original PS3 the size that the slim is but then they miss out on a sales boost. They did it with the PS1 and 2 as well.
