Default Homebrew without Zelda?

Hey, I'm new to hacking the Wii, so I don't know much about it, however I have experience with hacking PSPs. I was just wondering if there's a way of enabling homebrew without the use of Zelda?

I'm running Ver. 3.3U

I was wondering the same thing, but from a quick google of "twiilight hack," it seems the answer is "sort of."

You need the game. If you use the game to install the homebrew channel, then you won't need the game anymore, because the homebrew channel can launch homebrew. But, you still need the game disc to get the homebrew channel on your Wii in the first place.

I'm going to go rent the game. I know it's an awesomely great game and all, but I don't actually play my son's Wii, and he's a little young for Zelda, so I won't be buying a copy if I can avoid it.

Awesome, thanks. I'm borrowing my friend's copy of Twilight Princess so I can get homebrew. I just wanted to avoid buying it because I am flat broke right now and he happened to have that game by chance, so I lucked out.

Actuality I've heard that homebrew is installed by replacing Epona's name with something so huge that it doesn't fit in the word box. Ex:eehatjsdbfehjftjhbfjjzxcbuiasdhfaenfjkhcdshagtj ejkhrkyaekj
And it causes the Wii to freeze and search for a name in which it finds homebrew and installs it.
But yes, as of NOW you need twilight princess, it costs about $7 a rent.

The guys that sorted this hack out are nothing short of brilliant, jaw dropping stuff, I have watched the Bushing conference on the hack and they are on another level, better that the guys at Nintendo!
