Since I had no luck with the Backup Launcher 0.3 beta I decided to do some more research and found a tutorial that would eventually lead to having the 0.3 gamma. So this is what I did, BTW my wii is 3.3E version:
1. Homebrew ( as my previous post)
2. Installed IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad through Wad Manager
3. Installed CIOS_FIX
4. Ran IOS DOwNGRADER
5. Loaded cIOS Downgrader to downgrade firmware to 3.2E, which did not work so I installed IOS37-64-v2070.
6. With this it worked and Downgrade to 3.2E was successfull.
7. Installed Starfall
8. Tried to install cIOS 36 rev7, but this is were I get stuck, since the installation fails with some error 1017...
Can anyone help me out on this... Its frustrating since this is one of the final steps and I have spent all day reading around but I cannot make heads or tails of what I might have done wrong. Moreover I am very new to wii.
From what I have seen googling your problem, you may need to get a program called "Any Title Deleter" and get rid of IOS249. That seemed to solve a couple of people's -1017 error on PAL Wii's.
