Default can I block updates?

Hi! I have 3.4E and I dont wanna update to 4.0 coz im not sure what will happen will all my homebrews and stuff!
Is there anyway to block an update? I mean, some games wants to update via the cd, is there a way to block that?

If its safe to update to 4.0 , using the waniko(or how it spelled) patched update, is it safe to let some cds "update" (look for newer updates) ?

Just update to 5.00m33-6. It's Dax's latest and greatest firmware and there is better homebrew for that firmware also.

nothing will happen with your homebrews. they will still all work. just some plugins that you may/may not have to update, but as for the homebrew you dont have to worry. click on my sig to get some cool apps, plugins and other stuff for the PSP. it also has the 5.00 M33-6 update in there aswell if you need it.

PSP answers for a Wii question lol. The Custom update by Waninkoko works great I updated from 3.2u to 4.0u with no issues. All the homebrew I had works fine the SD channel is Awesome. Just find a good guide to follow.

Install preloader. There are many custom hacks you can utilize using preloader, one being a disc update bypass code.

You can use Wii Brick block to remove updates.

If you use Waninkoko's custom updater you still get the use custom channels, Homebrew Channel and the such but not things that run pre-boot like preloader or customized Wii menus. This includes the Wii updater block stuff included in preloader.

I want the same thing in 4.0 too but it probably wont be long. I just warn people that if they update my system they get tossed in the Japanese deep fryer from a level in MadWorld

You have no idea (like most people in this thread) what you are talking about. I am on 4.0U with preloader and cIOScorp installed. It is completely possible to disable disc updates on 4.0 using preloader.....here are the .29 hacks necessary.
