i was trying to install a new version of backup launcher using ShadowAssasin guide. at page 9 step 4 i was to install preloader I hit 1, my current system boot loader was moved and Preloader 0.29 was installed. It was then going to reboot, and said it would wait 5 seconds... 30 minutes later, nothing happened. Completely frozen, no buttons work at all.
i then power off the wii then power it back on try holding the reset button. nothing happen.
before i did all this, i did manage to install bootmii through the homebrew channel update.

like stwilliams420 said if you have bootmii installed to boot2 and have a backup of your nand you can restore! if not your pretty much screwed, but you can try to send it back to nintendo, from what i hear it cost about $75 to fix! I also bricked a friend of mine's wii using shadow assassins guide, dont think i would use that one again! someone pointed me in the direction of THIS GUIDE which is supposedly a lot better!!

I did have a 3.2 console, which I used the Twillight Hack with the original game to install the HomeBrew Channel with.
no bootmii or preloader and as said above your pretty much out of luck!
